1. Our Promise

At FPS Tests, we believe privacy is a basic right. That's why we built this website to work without collecting any personal information. All tests run locally in your browser – your FPS, reaction time, keyboard presses, and other test data never leave your device. We don't track you, and we don't sell anything to advertisers.

2. What Information We Collect (Very Little!)

We intentionally collect almost nothing. Here's the full picture:

• No account, no sign-up: You can use all tools instantly, without logging in.
• No cookies for tracking: We do not use analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or any persistent trackers. A tiny session cookie may be used for technical purposes (like remembering your theme preference) but it's strictly functional and deleted when you close your browser.
• Server logs (temporary): Like almost every website, our hosting server may record basic information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are automatically deleted after 7 days and are only used to diagnose problems and prevent abuse. We cannot identify you personally from this data.
• No third-party analytics: We do not use Google Analytics or similar services.

3. How We Use Information

Since we collect almost nothing, there's not much to use. The temporary server logs help us:

• Fix bugs and improve website performance
• Protect against malicious attacks (like DDoS)
• Understand roughly how many people visit (we don't count individuals)

We never share, sell, or rent any data – because we don't have any to share.

4. Google AdSense & Advertising

We may show ads on our website to help keep the service free. For this we use Google AdSense, which is a third-party advertising program. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. This is called "interest-based advertising".

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. If you prefer not to see interest-based ads, you can adjust your browser settings to block third-party cookies, or use the opt-out tools mentioned above.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a couple of external services that may collect data under their own policies:

• Google Fonts: To display nice typography, we load fonts from Google's servers. Google may see your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Hosting Provider: Our website is hosted on servers located in India. The hosting provider has its own security and logging practices, but they do not access your data beyond standard server logs.
• Google AdSense: As described above, AdSense sets cookies and collects anonymised data for ad personalisation. You can manage your preferences via the links provided.

We have chosen these services to minimise privacy impact.

6. Children's Privacy

Our tools are safe for everyone, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no personal data, there is no risk of children's data being misused. However, note that ads served by Google may be subject to their own policies regarding children – we encourage parents to supervise their children's internet use.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect our website and server from unauthorised access. However, no online service is 100% secure. By using our site, you acknowledge this inherent risk.

8. Your Rights

Under Indian law (and international laws like GDPR), you have rights regarding your personal data. Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have concerns, you can contact us and we will confirm that no data is stored.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we ever need to change this policy (for example, if we add a new feature that requires data), we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date. We will never make significant changes without letting you know clearly.
